Arabic Plurals (الجمع)

Arabic has two main types of plurals:

Sound Plurals (جمع سالم)

Regular plurals formed by adding suffixes:

  • -ون / -ين for masculine: مُؤْمِن → مُؤْمِنُونَ (believers)
  • -ات for feminine: مُسْلِمَة → مُسْلِمَات (Muslim women)

Broken Plurals (جمع مكسر)

The internal structure of the word changes:
