Lesson 33: Quran Reading Strategy

Quran Reading Strategy

Now that you have the foundation, here's a systematic approach to reading the Quran daily:

Daily Practice Plan:

  1. Read 1 page with tajweed — Focus on correct pronunciation, not speed
  2. Identify known words — Circle every word you recognize from your vocabulary
  3. Look up unknown words — Use the Word Book or a Quran dictionary
  4. Read a translation — Compare your understanding with the English/Bangla translation
  5. Repeat — Read the same page again, this time with more fluency

Tips for Improvement:

  • Listen to a reciter (Mishary Alafasy) while following the text
  • Practice with a partner or teacher for feedback
  • Use the Word Book daily to review vocabulary
  • Memorize short surahs and recite them in prayer
  • Be consistent — even 15 minutes daily is better than 2 hours once a week
