Lesson 7: Reading Practice — Common Words

Reading Practice — Common Arabic Words

Now let's put everything together. Read these words aloud, paying attention to all harakat:

Bismillāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds.

Māliki yawmi d-dīn

Master of the Day of Judgment.

Practice reading these repeatedly until you can read them smoothly without looking at the transliteration.
